Regional targets of PNP/PDEA Drug Personality Arrested

PROCOR’s continuing war against illegal drugs resulted in the arrest of a High-Value Drug Personality in a buy-bust operation conducted in Zone 7, Bangued, Abra by joint operatives of Abra PP0 and RMFB15 on July 23, 2021.

Based on reports submitted to PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, Regional Director, the suspect was identified as Mark Marvin Briones Mendoza (HVI), 35 years old, listed as No. 9 Regional targets of PNP/PDEA drug personality and a resident of Sitio Kabildatan, Brgy. Zone 7, Bangued, Abra.

Mendoza was arrested after he sold to an operative posting as poseur buyer one (1) small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu with an estimated total weight of 0.2 grams with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) amounting to Php 1,360.00.

During the course of his arrest, another two plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated total weight of 0.8 grams with SDP amounting to PhP5, 400.00 were seized from his possession.

The inventory of the pieces of evidence was conducted in the presence of the suspect and witness by Edgar Tanora, Media Representative; Jose Bersamin, DOJ Representative; Brgy Kagawad Marlbour Jude Valera; and Brgy Kagawad Dexter Dan Millare. Mendoza was brought to Abra Provincial Hospital for Medico-legal examination and subsequently brought to Bangued MPS for documentation prior to the filing of a case for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 while the seized items suspected to be shabu were turned over to Abra Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for laboratory examination.
