22 Wanted Persons arrested in PRO CAR’S week-long Anti-Criminality Campaign; 54 Municipalities Record Zero Crime Incidents
The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) sustained its intensified campaign against criminality with the arrest of 22 wanted personalities during the weeklong manhunt operations conducted from May 17 to 23, 2026, while 54 municipalities across the region recorded zero crime incidents.
According to reports from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division, the Baguio City Police Office recorded the highest number of arrests with eight, followed by the Benguet Police Provincial Office with six, and the Ifugao and Kalinga PPOs with four arrests each. Notably, two of the arrested individuals are listed as Most Wanted Persons at the Provincial Level.
Alongside the manhunt operations, PRO CAR heightened police visibility and strengthened community engagement efforts. These proactive measures contributed to zero crime incidents in 54 municipalities region-wide and three police station areas in Baguio City.
Specifically, no crime incidents were reported in 22 municipalities in Abra, nine municipalities in Mountain Province, eight municipalities in Ifugao, six municipalities in Benguet, five municipalities in Kalinga, and four municipalities in Apayao. In Baguio City, Police Station (PS) 1, PS6, and PS8 also recorded zero crime incidents during the same period.
PRO CAR also posted an 85.71% Crime Clearance Efficiency and a 79.37% Crime Solution Efficiency during the reporting period, demonstrating the prompt and effective response of police units in addressing and resolving cases.
