Farmer arrested for illegal firearms in Apayao

CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, LA TRINIDAD, BENGUET- (May 4, 2021) – a farmer was arrested in possession of several illegal firearms during the implementation of a search warrant conducted by PROCOR operative’s early morning of May 3, 2021.

Reports submitted to the Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD O LEE, identified the suspect as Marcos Bergonia Ragutero, 47 of Malaguyan, Flora, Apayao.

During the implementation of Search Warrant, operatives seized one (1) 12 GA Homemade Shotgun; One (1) 12GA Shotgun Branded with New Cobra; One (1) Converted .22 UZI Type; One (1) Converted .22 Rifle; One (1) 12GA Shotgun magazine; Two (2) Cal .22 Magazine; One (1) Cal .45 Magazine; 12 Cal .45 live Ammos; 14 12 GA Shotgun live ammos; and 37 Cal .22 live ammos from his residence in Malayugan, Flora, Apayao.

Onsite inventory of the confiscated pieces of evidence were done in the presence of the barangay kagawad Dominga C. Agcaoili and Evangeline M. Pilotin,

Ragutero and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Flora MPS for documentation and proper disposition while charges for violation of Comprehensive Law on firearms and ammunitions Regulation Act (RA 10591) is being prepared against him.(PROCOR RPIO)
