RD LEE: NO LETUP AGAINST CRIMINALITY AND ILLEGAL DRUGS

Upon his assumption as the Regional Director of Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) on April 5, 2021, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE promised to intensify the campaign against criminality and illegal drugs in the region.

92 days since, PROCOR’s non-stop campaign against wanted persons, illegal gambling, loose firearms, and illegal drugs marked the sincerity of PBGEN LEE in keeping his promises.

In the campaign against illegal drugs, a total of Php 450,116,369.88 dangerous drugs including shabu, marijuana plants, and seedlings were seized and destroyed from 168 anti-illegal drugs operations conducted from April 5, 2021, to press time. The operations resulted in the arrest of 151 drug personalities that includes 76 High-Value Individuals (HVI); 40 Street Level Individuals (SLI) and 35 non-listed individuals who are now facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, through the help of concerned citizens and the relentless effort of PROCOR Cops, 85 anti-illegal gambling operations were conducted that resulted in the record-breaking arrest of 298 individuals and seizure of Php 555,054.00 worth of cash used in illegal gambling activities.

With increased police presence and service of search warrants, 333 loose firearms were confiscated, recovered and surrendered from 289 police operations. Twenty-four (24) criminal cases on RA 10591 otherwise known as “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act” were already filed in court against the suspects.

Further, intensified manhunt operations conducted against wanted personalities resulted in the arrest of 457 individuals, of which 85 were listed as Most Wanted Persons in various levels and 327 are listed as other wanted persons. (PROCOR-PIO)
