P80K worth of Marijuana plants discovered and destroyed in Benguet

Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet- (August 11, 2021) – Personnel of 1st Benguet Provincial Mobile Force Company have discovered Php 80,000.00 worth of marijuana plants in Bakun, Benguet in the afternoon of August 10, 2021.

Based on the reports submitted to the Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, operatives of 1st Benguet PMFC while on regular patrol have discovered the said marijuana plants in a plantation site in the mountainous area of Sitio Botbot, Brgy. Kayapa.

A total of 400 Fully Grown Marijuana Plants with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 80, 000.00 planted in a Communal Forest with an estimated land area of 50 square meters.

The Marijuana plants were all uprooted and burned onsite while the investigation is being conducted to identify the cultivators of the plantation site. (PROCOR-PIO)
