Ligtas Paskuhan 2021: “More than a thousand PROCOR COPS to be deployed for the Holiday Season
As we celebrate the Yuletide Season, Police Regional Office Cordillera will be deploying PROCOR cops to ensure the safety and security of the public during the holiday celebrations and activities from December 16, 2021 to January 6, 2022.
Based on the data from the Regional Operations Management Division (ROMD), a total of 1,147 PROCOR cops will be deployed in the different provinces and cities in the Cordillera region.
To ensure the security of the major thoroughfares, 445 personnel will be deployed as road safety marshals to include those who will be manning the different terminals in the region.
Meanwhile, for the places of convergence, 702 personnel will be deployed in community firecracker zones, firecracker display areas, markets, parks, malls, and places of worship.
Also, 359 personnel are assigned as the Reactionary Standby Support Force (RSSF) who are ready for deployment if the need arises.
In addition, PROCOR will mobilize a total of 2,510 Force Multipliers, composed of Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams (BPATs) and volunteers from Civic Organizations.
Moreover, as the holiday celebrations also entail the use of firecrackers and pyrotechnics, PROCOR cops will also be implementing the existing Firecrackers Ban Ordinance in their respective areas of responsibility.
Further, various firecrackers, to include Watusi, Piccolo, Poppop, Five Star, Pla-Pla, Lolo Thunder, Giant Bawang, Giant Whistle Bomb, Atomic Bomb, Atomic Triangle, Large Size Judas Belt, Goodbye Delima, Hello Columbia, Goodbye Napoles, Super Yolanda, Mother Rockets, and Kwiton, are prohibited for use as stipulated in Executive Order No. 28 s. 2017 and are due for confiscation if discovered.
