CORDI COPS arrest 129 wanted persons in February

Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet – (March 2, 2021) – Cordillera cops successfully arrested a total of 129 wanted persons, of which 27 were listed as Most Wanted Persons (MWP) for the month of February.

Topping the list with the greatest number of arrests is Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) with a total of 56 arrested wanted persons followed by Benguet PPO with 28 arrests, Abra with 16, Ifugao with 13, Apayao PPO and Kalinga PPO with 7 arrests each, and Mountain Province with two.

Of the 27 Most Wanted Persons, one is listed in the Regional Level which was arrested in Benguet, three in Provincial Level arrested in Ifugao, Kalinga and Benguet and six listed in the City level arrested in Baguio, while the 17 others were listed in different municipal and Station levels.

In Benguet, Jerry Cosendo Pinder who is listed as No. 8 Most Wanted Person (MWP) in Regional Level was arrested by the operatives of La Trinidad MPS for the crime of Rape.

For the Provincial level, Chrisanto Bandao Napadawan who is listed as No. 8 in Benguet, was arrested by Itogon MPS for Violation of RA 9262 or the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children. Also, Arnold Wa-il Bag-ayan, listed as No. 1 Most Wanted Person, was nabbed in Kalinga for two counts of rape with no bail recommended, while Joshue Esteban Opay, listed as No. 4 in Ifugao, is arrested by operatives of Tinoc MPS also for the crime of Rape.

For the City Level Most Wanted persons arrested in Baguio City, Pacdal Police Station (PS3), nabbed Jun Baldonado Pinto who is listed as No. 3 for the crime of Statutory Rape, Jim Vincent Rasalan Geronimo who is listed as No. 5 for the crime of Rape, Mark Anthony Parides Layva who is listed as No. 7 for the crime of Estafa(Article 315) as Ammended by PD 1689 or Swindling, and Joel Binwag Caldito who is listed as No. 8 for Murder.

Meanwhile, Legarda Police Station (PS5), arrested Britch Chumacog Almasan for the crime of Illegal Recruitment in Large scale and Estafa while in a separate operation, Edson Bangbanga aka “Eds Taudi/Ed Taudi who is listed as No. 7 was arrested for the Murder.
