Barangay Kagawad arrested, P88-K Shabu seized

A Barangay Kagawad is now facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, after a search warrant that was implemented in his residence resulted in the discovery of over eighty-eight-thousand-peso worth of shabu in the morning of September 1, 2022.

According to the reports submitted to PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN MAFELINO ASPIRO BAZAR, the arrested suspect was identified as Francis Carpio Dagson, 57, listed as a High-Value Individual (HVI) and an active Barangay Kagawad of Irisan, Baguio City.

The same report disclosed that while implementing the search warrant in his residence, joint operatives from PDEA-CAR and Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) discovered seven (7) plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less 13 grams with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 88,400.00 and a digital weighing scale.

The inventory of the pieces of evidence recovered was conducted on-site in the presence of the arrested suspect and witnessed by Pros. Bernard Allan Angeles, DOJ Representative, and Punong Barangay Arthur Carlos of Barangay Irisan, Baguio City.

The suspect and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the custody of PDEA Baguio for documentation and proper disposition. (PROCOR-PIO File photos)
