YOUTH, COMMUNITY LEADERS, AND POLICE UNITE AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND TRAFFICKING

Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet – (June 30) – With the theme “Share facts on drugs, save lives”, personnel of Buguias MPS joined the celebration of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT) through an advocacy walk from Bad-ayan to Buyacaoan Barangay Hall on June 26, 2021.

To raise awareness about the ill-effects of illegal drugs, Buyacaoan Youths and Council organized the activity which was participated by the Barangay Officials of Baculongan Sur and Buyacoan; KKDAT Members of Buguias and Benguet; personnel of Buguias MPS; and other representatives of Advocacy Support Group.

Prior to the advocacy walk, on June 23, 2021, the youth expressed their support through an INDAK and YOUTHsulong (flashmob dance and lecture series).

The Presidential Proclamation No. 264 declared every 26th of June as the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking or World Drug Day to strengthen action and cooperation in achieving the goal of a world free of drug abuse. (PROCOR-PIO)
