PROCOR COPS seized firearm and ammunitions during service of Search Warrant

Intensified police operations of Police Regional Office Cordillera yielded in the arrest of an individual for violation of RA 10591 or Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition during the service of a search warrant at Sitio Colocol, Bunhian, Aguinaldo, Ifugao on August 23, 2021.

According to reports submitted to the Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, joint personnel from Ifugao PPO, RIU-14 and RMFB 15 implemented a search warrant issued by Hon. Pascual D Kimmayong, Presiding Judge of 2nd Judicial Region, MCTC, Lagawe-Hingyon, Ifugao which resulted in the arrest of Johnny Bongayon Chinaman, 58, married, farmer and a resident of Sitio Colocol Barangay Bunhian, Aguinaldo, Ifugao.

During the implementation of the search warrant, found and confiscated at Chinaman’s residence were: one (1) homemade cal  .22; Eighty-Six (86) rounds Cartridge, cal .22 ball; One (1) cal .22 magazine; Twelve rounds cartridge, cal .30 Carbine; Eight (8) rounds cartridge, 9 mm, ball; and One cartridge, 12 gauge. 

Onsite inventory and markings of the seized items were made in the presence of the suspect and witnessed by Barangay Chairman Christopher M Bimmang and Barangay Kagawad Patrick L Atluna of Bunhian, Aguinaldo, Ifugao.

The items were seized and the suspect was brought to Aguinaldo MPS for proper documentation while charges for violation of Comprehensive Law on firearms and ammunitions Regulation Act (RA 10591) are being prepared against him. (PROCOR-PIO)
