Ifugao town bolsters quarantine checkpoints

ALFONSO LISTA, Ifugao, June 3 (PIA) – – The local government unit here bolstered  the police-manned checkpoints by providing additional manpower for the strict implementation of health protocols.

Mayor Edralin Alipio  directed  that personnel from  the  municipal health office, Bureau of Fire Protection, barangay health workers and barangay peacekeepers  will  augment  police officers manning the checkpoints.

“These community quarantine checkpoints shall be maintained at all times. The visibility of “tanods” in every barangay must also be maintained for them to check/inspect that minimum public health protocols are strictly observed,” Alipio  said.

The mayor also enjoined barangays Little Tadian, Kiling, San Marcos, Calimag and Bangar to maintain their respective checkpoints being the entry points of the municipality.

The province of Ifugao including Apayao and Benguet  are placed under Modified Enhanced Community Qurantine  status from June 1 – 15, 2021.

As of June 2, the municipality of Alfonso Lista recorded a total of 258 COVID-19 confirmed cases with 238 recoveries, six deaths and 14 active cases. (JDP/MB-PIA CAR, Ifugao)
