Female High-Value Drug personality arrested in Tabuk
Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet- (August 7, 2021) – Aside from the successful implementation of Marijuana eradication operations in the province, Kalinga police arrested a female drug peddler in a buy-bust operation conducted in Bulanao Norte, Tabuk City, Kalinga in the afternoon of August 5, 2021.
According to the reports submitted to the Regional Director, PGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, disclosed that joint operatives of Tabuk CPS, PIU-PDEU, RPDEU and RID/RSOG PROCOR launched the operation that resulted in the arrest of Melanie Cardinez Ordanza a.k.a Melanie Tavarez (HVI), 28, and a resident of Tabuk City, Kalinga.
Ordanza was arrested after she sold two (2) pieces of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated total weight of 0.2 grams with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php1,360.00 to an undercover operative.
Also, during the course of her arrest, operatives confiscated the cellular phone, and buy-bust money used in the transaction.
Markings and inventory of the seized pieces of evidence were done on-site witnessed by Brgy Kagawad Ricardo L. Agnaya; Media representative, Melisa G. Guavez and DOJ representative, Nakingngak Bangloy.
The arrested suspect and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Tabuk City Police Station for documentation prior to turn over at Kalinga Crime Laboratory Office for Qualitative and Drug Test Examination, while a case for violation of RA 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 is being prepared for filing against her.
