CPNP condoles with the family of late PCOL Michael Bawayan Jr.

POLICE GENERAL GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR, Chief of PNP, led the PNP officials and personnel during the internment of the late PCOL MICHAEL BAWAYAN JR., Provincial Director of Sulu PPO at the Pyramid Memorial Park, Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet on August 14, 2021.

Full military honors were accorded to PCOL BAWAYAN JR., the flag-draped coffin carrying his remains was brought to his final resting place by bearers that include BAWAYAN’s classmates from the PNPA “Kaagapay” Class of 1996. The burial ceremony was accentuated by a 3-volley rifle salute and bugle taps according to prescribed police customs and traditions. Also, the internment rite was facilitated by PLTCOL REV. JONATHAN CHY, PROCOR Regional Pastoral Officer.

In his message, PGEN ELEAZAR, expressed his condolences to the bereaved family as he appreciated PCOL BAWAYAN’s dedication to service and love for the PNP during his term as Provincial Director in Sulu. Further, he promised to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of PCOL BAWAYAN to ensure that his sacrifices for the PNP organization will not be in vain.

As a remembrance and to symbolize the integrity, courage and faithful service of PCOL Bawayan to the country, PGEN ELEAZAR handed over the folded Philippine flag to Mrs. Catalina Bawayan, mother of the deceased.

Also, present during the ceremony were PNP Deputy Chief for Operation PLTGEN EPHRAIM T DICKSON, PRO-BAR Regional Director PBGEN EDEN UGALE, PROCOR Regional Director PBGEN RONALD LEE, and members of the PROCOR Command Group, National Support Groups, family, relatives and friends of PCOL BAWAYAN.
