“BONUS KO, TULONG SA PAG-AARAL MO”: ABRA COPS give donations to schools

In Abra, police officers of Malibcong MPS and Tineg MPS used a portion of their bonus to purchase two-way radios to be donated to two distant schools.

In Malibcong, a police officer of Malibcong Municipal Police Station (MPS), Pat Denlie B. Dilag, used a portion of his 13th Month Pay/Bonus to buy four (4) units of two-way radios for Gacab Primary School.

Further, he also traveled for almost an hour to reach the said school in Brgy Gacab, Malibcong, to personally deliver and officially turn over the donated two-way radios to the school teacher, Ms. Maricar Baawa.

Meanwhile, in Tineg, police officers of Tineg MPS pooled funds from their own pockets to give financial assistance to Sabangan Elementary School.

Tineg cops visited the school located in Brgy Alaoa to personally hand over the donated fund to the school teachers, Ms. Anna May Tullas and Ms. Jackeline Peralta.

According to Tineg MPS, the donated fund will be used to purchase two-way radios for the school.

Currently, some areas in Abra still have poor signal and limited internet connection making it difficult for the teachers and learners to interact properly for their modified/distance learning. The two-way radios will be able to serve as a communication tool between the teachers and learners for their one-on-one interaction despite the absence of face-to-face classes. (PROCOR-PIO)
