60K worth of marijuana eradicated in Benguet

A total of Php 60,000 worth of Marijuana plants were discovered and destroyed by PROCOR operatives in Sitio Botbot, Brgy. Kayapa, Bakun, Benguet on June 24, 2022.

Based on the report submitted to PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD O LEE, the operatives chanced upon a marijuana plantation site while conducting a combat patrol in the said area.

According to Benguet PPO, personnel of 1st Benguet PMFC discovered more or less 1,500 pieces of marijuana seedlings planted in a 3 square meter communal forest at Sitio Botbot, Kayapa, Bakun, Benguet with a Standard Drug Price of Php 60,000.00.

All marijuana seedlings were uprooted and destroyed on-site. No cultivator was apprehended during the said operations, while an investigation is ongoing to identify the possible cultivators. (PROCOR-PIO)
