6 Former Rebels receive E-CLIP Livelihood Assistance in Mountain Province

Six (6) former rebels officially received their livelihood assistance under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) of the government during the Provincial Task Force in Empowering Local Communities to Accelerate Change (PTF-ELCAC) program in Kin-iway, Besao, Mountain Province on October 22, 2021.

As part of the E-CLIP, the six (6) rebel returnees were able to receive financial assistance worth Php 20,000.00 each as capital on their proposed livelihood project to uplift their socio-economic well-being.

The program was attended by PCOL JOHN CHUA, PROCOR Deputy Regional Director for Operations, together with PCOL RUBEN B ANDISO, Mountain Province PPO Provincial Director; COL VALDEZ, 69th IB Battalion Commander; Ms Jackielyn O Guitangan from SWAD; Ms Miguela Angwani from PSWDO; and Ms. Nida Docallas from MSWDO.

In the message of PCOL CHUA, he commended the former rebels for surrendering and returning to mainstream society and encouraged the other remaining rebels to return to the folds of the law so they could live a normal life with the help of the government’s programs. (PROCOR-PIO)
