4 Former CTG Supporters surrender to the authorities

Four (4) former supporters of CPP-NPA have officially withdrawn their support to the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) and surrendered to the authorities in Abra and Mountain Province over the weekend.

Citing the reports submitted to PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, the surrender of the four (4) CTG supporters were made possible after a series of negotiations initiated by the joint operatives of Abra PPO, Mountain Province PPO, AFP together with the barangay officials and their families.

In Manabo, Abra, a 54-year-old male and 55-year-old male supporters of the Kilusang Larangang Gerilya (KLG) – AMPIS

(Abra, Mountain Province, Ilocos Sur) have surrendered to the operatives of Manabo MPS, Special Action Force, and Philippine Army.

In Bangued, Abra, a 54-year-old male, a supporter also of KLG AMPIS has surrendered to the operatives of RMFB15.

Meanwhile, in Bontoc, Mountain Province, a 46-year-old male has surrendered to the operatives of Bontoc MPS and the Philippine Army. He also turned over an M14 rifle with serial number 1116417, one (1) magazine, and six (6) live ammunitions

The surrenderees are now under the custody of their respective operating unit for custodial debriefing, documentation, and proper disposition. (PROCOR-PIO)
