198 PROCOR Rookies receive PNP Badge of Honor

Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet – A total of 198 rookie cops graduated from Public Safety Field Training Program (PSFTP) and received their badges as full-fledged members of the Philippine National Police during their Closing Ceremony held at Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on Monday, February 22, 2021.

The newly graduated police trainees, composed of 152 males and 46 females, belong to the “SINAG-KIDLAT” Class 2020-01. They were recruited to the police service on January 30, 2020 and have undergone the one year mandatory Public Safety courses for all aspiring cops which are the six-month Basic Recruit Course and 6-month Field Training Program.

In the course of their training, three female trainees emerged as their class topnotchers. The Medalya ng Kasanayan (PNP Efficiency Medal) was awarded to Patrolwoman Ganilyn P. Dino for garnering the highest rating of 95.75%, while Pat Kanie Kayle Q. Pallat and Pat Marites A. Gao-ay were awarded the Medalya ng Papuri (PNP Commendation Medal) for ranking 2nd and 3rd with the rating of 95.50% and 95.03%, respectively.

Also, the class Battalion Commander Patrolman Mike Angelo C. Bugtong and their class President Pat Jackson T. Agdaca were recognized and awarded the Leadership Award.

As they received their PNP badges during the ceremonial pinning, the new full-fledged police officers were charged to wear their badges with honor and embrace the sacred trust attached to it.

Police Brigadier General Lawrence B Coop, who graced the occasion as the guest of honor and speaker, underscored that being public servants, service to the community should come first before personal interests.

“Ang PNP ay umaasa sa inyo na maging matuwid at responsableng mga miyembro”, he added, as he encouraged them to help uphold PROCOR being the Home of the Most Disciplined Cops in the Country.

Further, he reminded them to keep abreast and adhere to the policies and guidelines particularly on assignment, especially while awaiting the written order detailing the places where they will be assigned. (PROCOR RPIO)
