Regional Illegal drug personality busted in Baguio City

Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet- (Sept. 3, 2020) – PROCOR’s intensified war against illegal drugs led to the arrest of a telecommunication crew in a buy-bust operation conducted at Military Cut Off, Baguio City on September 03, 2021.

Reports submitted to PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, Regional Director, disclosed the identity of the suspect as Mark Laurel Dizon Manipon a.k.a ‘Marco’, 34 yrs. old and a resident of Sta. Scholastica Village, Baguio City. Marco is listed in the Regional Top Ten Illegal Drug Personality (RTTIDP) of PROCOR.

Suspect, ‘Marco’, was arrested by operatives of RPDEU/RID/RSOG together with Baguio CPO,  PDEG SOU 14 and RIU 14 after he sold a sachet of suspected ‘’shabu’’ weighing 1 gram with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PHP 6,800.00 to an operative acting as poseur buyer.

In the course of his arrest, seized from his possessions were the buy-bust money, boodle money, a pack of Marlboro Gold, a lighter and a cellular phone used during the transaction.

Onsite inventory and markings of pieces of evidence recovered were conducted in the presence of the arrested suspect and witnessed by Prosecutor Sigrid Canawil; Brgy. Kagawad Alex Villanueva of Military Cut Off; and Media Representative, Charles Nikko Limon.

 The drug evidence was turned over to Crime Laboratory for qualitative examination while charges for violation of RA 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs of 2002 is being prepared against the suspect. (PROCOR-PIO)
