High-Value target yields assorted illegal drugs in a search warrant

CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet- (August 8, 2021) – Joint operatives of Baguio CPO, RIU 14 and PDEA CAR arrested a High-Value Target (HVT) and seized P37.4K worth of shabu; liquid meth; and tablets of ecstasy after a search warrant conducted at the suspect residence in Alfonso Tabora, Baguio City in the early morning of August 7, 2021.

According to the report of PCOL GLENN LONOGAN sent to the Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, the operatives implemented a search warrant that resulted in the arrest of a suspect identified as Manuel Garcia Tamesis, 42 and listed under the Regional Watchlist of Persons involved in Illegal Drugs classified as High-Value Target.

During the search, operatives seized one (1) heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing .5 grams with Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of Php 3,400 pesos;  one (1) open transparent plastic sachet containing traces of suspected shabu;  one (1) plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing  5 grams with DDB  value of 34,000.00; one (1) vial containing transparent liquid suspected to be liquid meth; nine (9) pcs of white tablets suspected to be ecstasy; and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Also, the confiscated items were inventoried on-site in the presence of  Prosecutor Sigrid Lacwasan-Canawil; Barangay Kagawad Oliver Tubera; and Media representative Ms. Janice Juanito of Bombo Radio-Baguio.

The suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the PDEA-Regional HeadQuarters for Qualitative and Quantitative Examination, while a case for violation of RA 9165  or Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 is being prepared for inquest proceedings against the  suspect.
