Conduct of regular citywide clean-up drive, iterated

The City Mayor’s Office’s Special Services Division is reminding the Summer Capital’s barangay officials of memorandum 259, series of 2019, issued by Mayor Benjamin Magalong calling for the conduct of a monthly citywide clean-up drive to be spearheaded and supervised by the barangays.

The Mayor gave the order for the reminder during the regular management committee meeting of department heads, November 2, at the Baguio Convention Center.

He is also urging barangays leaders to take the initiative in maintaining the cleanliness of their respective areas or responsibility.

The Mayor commended those barangays that undertake regular clean-up drives on their own volition and he hopes that all of the 128 barangays could “replicate the initiative and sense of volunteerism  in their own areas.”

Community Affairs Officer III Briccio Domondon said his office reiterated the Mayor’s call for barangay officials to comply with the directive and forwarded a copy of the memorandum for their reference. — Gaby B. Keith
