Wheelchair to be made available in City Hall clinic
City officials requested the City Health Services Office (CHSO) to make available at all times a wheelchair at the city hall clinic for the use of the public, like senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs), when necessary, while transacting with the various offices of the city government housed at the City Hall building.
Under Resolution No. 276, series of 2022, city legislators stated that the availability of a wheelchair within the premises of the City Hall is a proactive effort to look after the convenience of clients and the public visiting the different city hall offices or in case of emergency where a wheelchair is necessary.
Further, the council stipulated that a clinic nurse should always be present and available at the City Hall Clinic during working hours to be able to respond to emergency situations that may transpire or when the employees and the transacting public will need such services.
The body noted that public service clients, like senior citizens and PWDs, certainly need whatever assistance and may also need the aid of a wheelchair to conveniently reach the offices for their various business transactions.
The City Hall, the seat of the city government, is frequented by the public for various reasons and transactions and such assistive devices must always be readily available at all times at the city hall clinic to facilitate the movement of senior citizens and PWDs around the building.
According to the council, it is always important to be ready for any eventuality that may transpire within the City Hall premises to be able to help individuals having difficulties in mobility for them to be able to effectively transact their businesses with the concerned offices of the city government. – Dexter A.
