PROCOR JOINS LAUNCHING OF PNP CORES FOR A ‘NAMELESS, FACELESS RECRUITMENT PROCESS

CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – (May 28, 2021) – Police Regional Office Cordillera virtually took part in the launching of the Comprehensive Online Recruitment Encrypting System (CORES) in a program presided by the Chief PNP,  PGEN GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR, in the morning of May 27, 2021.

As the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM)  approved the recruitment of 17,314 Patrolman and Patrolwoman, the PNP organization is also gearing up for a more improved and organized recruitment process.

Thus, the launching of the CORES, with the tagline, “Nameless, faceless recruitment process. Only the best for the PNP and for the Filipino people. ” This will serve as a database for all applicants nationwide, with a more improved recruitment system to eliminate bias and especially, the “Padrino” system.

In PROCOR, with the alloted quota of 100 recruits, the Regional Recruitment and Selection Unit (RRSU) received a total of 755 applications, of which, 292 are males and 463 are females.

To adhere with the minimum public health standards, the applicants were required to present a negative swab test result and were always reminded to follow the health protocols. They were also processed in batches and scheduled accordingly by the RRSU.

For the launch, a total of 200 female applicants have initially processed for the Body Mass Index (BMI) screening. (PROCOR – PIO)
