PROCOR COPS help in a road clearing operation

Acting on the instructions of PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD O LEE, personnel of Police Regional Office Cordillera were immediately deployed to help in the road clearing operations in the aftermath of the sudden mudslide and flash flood in Banaue, Ifugao on July 7, 2022.

PCOL JAMES D MANGILI, the Provincial Director of Ifugao PPO, reported to the Regional Director that personnel of Banaue MPS and 2nd Ifugao Provincial Mobile Force Company were immediately deployed to help in the road clearing efforts of the concerned agencies.

According to the initial report of the DSWD-CAR, six of the 18 barangays of Banaue were affected including Amganad, Poblacion, Tam-an, Viewpoint, Bocos, and Poitan.

There are three reported injuries while 19 families were evacuated to the evacuation center located at the Banaue Gym.

It can be recalled that prior to the mudslide incident, PBGEN LEE has already instructed the different units of PROCOR to coordinate with the different government agencies to help in the preparation for the rainy season.

In Ifugao, personnel of Ifugao PPO helped in the prepositioning of family food packs in the province as part of the DSWD preparation based on the warning of PAG-ASA. Said family food packs are now being distributed to help the families affected by the flooding.
