PRO CAR’S WEEKLONG DRUG OPS YIELD OVER P18.5M WORTH OF ILLEGAL DRUGS, 11 DRUG PERSONALITIES ARRESTED
In its continued efforts to safeguard communities and curb the proliferation of illegal drugs, the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) carried out a weeklong series of operations from December 8 to 14, 2025, resulting in the seizure of more than P18.5 million worth of illegal drugs and the arrest of 11 drug personalities.
During the week, PRO CAR conducted a total of 29 operations comprising five buy-bust operations. These operations led to the confiscation of 49,600 fully grown marijuana plants, 5,000 marijuana seedlings, 61,250.00 grams of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, and 152.02 grams of shabu, with a total Standard Drug Price of PhP18,506,736.00.
Additionally, 11 drug personalities were arrested, including two listed as a High Value Individual (HVI) and nine listed as Street Level Individuals (SLIs).
The most significant operations were recorded in Benguet, where the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) seized PhP14,931,556.00 worth of illegal drugs and arrested two SLIs, and in Benguet, where the Benguet PPO confiscated PhP1,480,172.00 worth of illegal drugs and apprehended two SLIs, followed by Kalinga PPO seized PhP2,664,320.00 worth of illegal drugs and arrested one HVI and two SLIs, then in Mountain Province, Mountain Province PPO seized PhP873,732.00 and arrested one HVI and one SLI.
Further, in Baguio, the Baguio City Police Office apprehended one SLI, resulting in the seizure of PhP36,720.00 worth of suspected shabu. Meanwhile, in Apayao, the Apayao PPO arrested one SLI and confiscated PhP408.00 worth of suspected shabu.
These achievements underscore PRO CAR’s unwavering commitment to the government’s campaign against illegal drugs and its sustained pursuit of peace, order, and public safety across the Cordillera region. Through the persistent efforts of its operating units, PRO CAR continues to neutralize drug networks, bring offenders to justice, and protect communities from the threats posed by illegal substances.
