More barangay budgets, tax ordinance given favorable review

Acting City Mayor Faustino Olowan ratified city council resolution no. 464, series of 2022, granting favorable review of several barangay budgets for fiscal year 2022 pursuant to section 458 of the Local Government Code of 1991, as amended.
The approved measure states that the city budget officer forwarded to the local legislature the preliminary reviewed budgets of Kayang Extension, Phil-Am, South Central Aurora Hill, Fort Del Pilar, Holy Ghost Extension, Camp 7, Fairview, Victoria Village, and Irisan barangays.
The august body’s committee on barangay affairs, in its 2nd indorsement dated September 29, 2022, recommended favorable review of the mentioned barangay budgets.
The resolution states that the aforementioned barangay budgets be returned to the city budget office for implementation.
Meanwhile, the Mayor also signed city council resolution no. 462, series of 2022, granting favorable review of tax ordinance no. 01-08, series of 2022, of Hillside barangay pursuant to section 458 of the Local Government Code of 1991, as amended. The local legislature’s committee on barangay affairs, in its 2nd indorsement dated September 27, 2022, recommended favorable review on the mentioned barangay tax ordinance considering that the barangay already considered and incorporated the recommendations of the committee. – Gaby B.
