FOREIGN STUDENT NABBED IN BAGUIO CITY FOR CULTIVATING POTTED MARIJUANA

Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet –(June 7, 2021) –  A search warrant implementation led to the arrest of a foreign national (Yemeni) at his present residence in  Purok 5, Bakakeng Central, Baguio City on June 5, 2021.

Reports submitted to PROCOR Regional Director PBGEN RONALD O LEE revealed that suspect HUSSEIN MUAAD HASAN, aka Muath yaf (Foreign National Yemeni), 21, was arrested after search in his residence yielded 3 pots planted with fully grown marijuana plants with Php600.00 market value, and about six grams ready to use marijuana stalks.

The search warrant was obtained as a result of his neighbor’s reports regarding his and his peers’ rowdy behavior when on drugs.

The report further stated that the search was implemented by operatives of Baguio CPO; Regional Intelligence Unit 14, PDEA-CAR and PDEA RO1 in the presence of Kagawad Willy Palicos, Mr. Charles Nikko Limon of Bombo Radio- Media representative, and Prosecutor Oliver Prudencio, DOJ representative.

Inventory of pieces of evidence was conducted onsite in the presence of the suspect and the witnesses.

Hasan and all confiscated evidence are under the custody of the PDEA Baguio Office pending formal complaint for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 to be filed against him. (PROCOR-PIO)
