City eyes launch of BIMP online payment on Nov. 14

The city government targets to launch the online payment system using Baguio in my Pocket (BIMP) application by Nov. 14.
This will cover payments for real property tax, business tax and other fees including arrival fees at the city market.
Mayor Benjamin Magalong in a mobilization meeting Oct. 10, 2022 directed the BIMP platform provider Information Technology Business Solutions (ITBS) Corporation to work out the inclusion of payments of fines for traffic violations and of utility bills in coordination with the Baguio City Police Office, the Baguio Water District and the Benguet Electric Cooperative Inc.
The system will have the Land Bank of the Philippines as service provider for the city government.
An audiovisual tutorial will be provided before the launch to guide residents in availing of the online payment system.
The mayor said they are also waiting for the approval of an ordinance by the city council to institutionalize the system.
BIMP is a collection of applications that aims to promote an e-government ecosystem and provide an all-in-one digital platform to provide key services to the people. โ Aileen P. Refuerzo
