A Showcase of Unique MSME Finds from Rizal Province at SM City Baguio
Bringing Filipino creativity and entrepreneurship closer to Northern Luzon shoppers
SM Supermalls continues to support Filipino micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through a special showcase in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), bringing a “Gala to the Max” experience to shoppers in Baguio through a curated exhibit of proudly local products from Rizal.
The exhibit highlights a diverse collection of modern fashion, food innovations, pasalubong items, and handcrafted products that reflect Filipino creativity, resilience, and entrepreneurship.

One of the standout features is 𝗦𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘆’𝘀 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, a modern Filipiniana brand founded in 2029, showcasing elegant pieces made from upcycled materials and designed and hand-painted by mothers and artisans, including even Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) who contribute through creative livelihood programs. The collection blends traditional Filipiniana silhouettes with contemporary artistry, making each piece uniquely expressive and meaningful.

Food innovation is also in focus with 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝗢𝗻, a new culinary innovation brand owned by Chef Rod Sioson and Malou Sioson. The brand has quickly become one of the best sellers in the showcase, with products nearly sold out due to strong visitor demand. Its rich and indulgent offerings include creamy, cheesy garlic sauce and chili garlic sauce, perfect for dipping with fries, fish, Hungarian sausage, and a variety of other favorite dishes. Priced from PHP 195 to PHP 350, the sauces bring bold, comforting flavors ideal for everyday meals and sharing.
Sauce On owner Chef Rod Sioson shared how the support of DTI has been instrumental in their growth as an MSME.
“Napakalaki ng tulong ng DTI sa amin kasi kung saan-saan nila kami pinapadalo. With the help of DTI, nagtutulungan, lumago po ang business.”

Adding a refreshing twist for Baguio’s cool climate is 𝗕𝘂𝗸𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀, a first-time exhibitor in the city, featuring coconut-based beverages, including coconut coffee, which is a recent addition to their product line and is being introduced to the public for the first time through this showcase, first showcased at SM City Baguio.

Pasalubong favorites are also showcased through 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗶, offering suman pinipig with latik, while handcrafted items from Kraftista highlight local artistry and creativity.

𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮’𝘀 Home of the Bicol Laing also joins the exhibit, offering authentic Bicolano laing that highlights rich, traditional Filipino flavors made from taro leaves cooked in coconut milk and spices.

Sweet local treats are showcased through 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹’𝘀 Ube Jam and Halaya, with products ranging from PHP 199 to PHP 449, perfect for gifting and pasalubong.

Another highlight is 𝗕𝗶𝗯𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, which features locally crafted cakes and chocolates while supporting cacao farmers, strengthening the farm-to-table connection of Filipino chocolate production.

𝗗𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 also offers a selection of pasalubong favorites, featuring cashews, peanuts, and a variety of peanut-based products, perfect for snacks and gifting.

𝗔𝗥𝗛 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁𝘀 also joins the exhibit, featuring handcrafted wallets and organizers that showcase practical Filipino craftsmanship and creativity. 𝗞𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮, meanwhile, offers colorful beads and charms that highlight locally made accessories and handcrafted artistry.

Completing the exhibit is the 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗣 𝗛𝘂𝗯, which highlights proudly Filipino-made products under the One Town One Product (OTOP) program, showcasing the best of Antipolo and Rizal’s local craftsmanship, food innovations, and regional identity through homegrown MSMEs.
The MSME showcase is ongoing at SM City Baguio atrium until Sunday, May 24, giving shoppers the opportunity to explore and support locally made products.
Through initiatives like these, SM Supermalls continues to provide MSMEs with opportunities to expand their market reach, strengthen local livelihoods, and share Filipino-made products with a wider audience, further reinforcing its position as the most loved mall among shoppers and communities. #
