258K WORTH OF SHABU SEIZED; 5 INDIVIDUALS ARRESTED
Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad Benguet- (July 7, 2021) – As a result of PROCOR’s intensified anti-illegal drugs operations, five individuals including a Regional Top Ten Drug Personality and four Street-Level Individual (SLI) were arrested in four separate operations on July 5, 2021.
Citing the reports of the different operating units, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE identified the arrested suspect in Kalinga as Sandi Bulatao Gayudan aka Whaja, 28, listed as Regional Top Ten Drug Personality; while in Baguio, identified the suspects as Chester Luke Cachin Gallardo, 22; Mark Rodriquez, 26; Glen Irizari Libot, 40; and Lanie Cerezo Villar, 52, all listed as Street-Level Individuals.
In Kalinga, joint operatives of Kalinga PPO led by Tabuk CPS, RPDEU, RID PROCOR, RIU-14, and RFMB15 arrested Whaja after selling a sachet of suspected shabu weighing more or less 1 gram with an estimated worth of PHP 6,800.00 to an undercover cop acting as a poseur buyer.
Other seized items from him were two pieces of transparent empty small sachets, a keypad cellphone, three used aluminum foils, a motorcycle (TMX 125) with a key, and the buy-bust money.
Meanwhile, Gallardo was arrested in San Luis Barangay, Baguio City by the joint operatives of Baguio CPO and PDEG together with operatives from PRO 1 after selling a sachet of suspected shabu weighing more or less 1 gram with an estimated worth of Php 6,800.00 to a police officer acting as a poseur buyer.
During his arrest, the operatives were able to confiscate another five (5) sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less 25 grams w/ SDP of Php170,000.00 found in his backpack inside his vehicle, buy-bust money, black chest bag containing a brown wallet, and Hand Grenade, High Explosive (HE), MK2.
Another joint operation of Baguio CPO, PDEG, RIU-14, and RID PROCOR resulted in the arrest of Rodriquez for selling a sachet of suspected shabu weighing more or less 10 grams with an estimated amount of Php 68,000.00 to a police officer acting as poseur buyer in Barangay Bakakeng Central, Baguio City.
In the course of his arrest, one plastic tube containing suspected dried marijuana leaves weighing more or less 3 grams with an estimated amount of Php 360.00, the buy-bust money, 12 pcs folded aluminum foil, a tooter, plastic containing assorted drug paraphernalia, one roll aluminum foil, and a keypad phone was confiscated from his possession.
In another operation, Libot and Villar were arrested after they sold three sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 1 gram with a Standard Drug Price of Php 6,800.00 to an operative who acted as poseur buyer. Drug paraphernalia, two keypad cellphones, and one android Cellphone were also confiscated from them.
All arrested suspects are now detained at the respective operating units for documentation and proper disposition while charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were being prepared against the suspects. (PROCOR-PIO)
