WATER REFILLING STATIONS REMINDED TO APPLY, RENEW OPERATIONAL PERMIT

BAGUIO CITY – (16 June 2021) – Owners of water refilling stations, water supply systems, desludgers, crematory and memorial parks are reminded to apply or renew their operational permit as well as Environmental Sanitation Clearance at the Department of Health Cordillera.

The DOH Cordillera issued Advisory No. 2021-015 dated May 27, 2021 reminding provincial and municipal Sanitary Inspectors to inform owners of the above-mentioned enterprises of the following schedule:

October 21, 2021 to December 15, 2021 – application for renewal of operational permit and environmental sanitation clearance.

January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021 or any time of the year – application for the initial operational permit and environmental sanitation clearance.

Requirement for securing initial operational permit for water refilling stations are the following:

*Two sets of as built plans and specifications of the station duly signed and prepared by a private Licensed Sanitary Engineer.

*Two sets of Engineer’s report or feasibility study prepared by Sanitary Engineer containing the following: introduction or background information; statement of the problems; present and future areas served with population data; water supply source quality and quantity; water purification process; maintenance procedures; basic design data, pumping capacity; water storage and delivery system; flexibility of operation; Sanitary Engineer’s findings and recommendations.

*Photocopy of the latest water analysis results for Raw and Product Water performed by DOH accredited laboratory containing the results of monthly bacterial analysis; physico-chemical analysis (every six months) and radiological analysis (as the need arises).

*Photocopy of the following: Certificate of Potability of Water; Certified Water Operators Training Course (40 hours); Certificate of Product Registration of Purification Equipment (DOH accredited); DTI registration; PRC ID with latest PTR and two specimen signatures of private sanitary engineer.

*Picture of Purification Equipment, delivery vehicle and water refilling station (interior and exterior)

*Operation permit fee of P2,600 paid at DOH Cordillera.

For renewal, present the original Operational Permit and updated water laboratory results of monthly bacteriological results and physico-chemical results conducted every six months.
