Request for Support for the SEC Amnesty Program

As part of the Commission’s efforts to encourage corporations, including non-government organizations and foundations, to comply with the reportorial requirements set forth under Republic Act No. 11232, or the Revised Corporation Code of the Philippines, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has provided the Grant of Amnesty for Late and Non-Filing of Annual Financial Statements (AFS), General Information Sheets (GIS), and Non-Compliance with SEC Memorandum Circular No. 28, Series of 2020 (MC28).
The SEC Amnesty Program provides noncompliant and suspended/revoked corporations the opportunity to settle penalties incurred from non-filing and late filing of their reportorial requirements at a lower cost. This program also allows the SEC to prudently identify active and inactive corporations, improve and organize the Commission’s digital database, and cultivate a healthy and vibrant corporate sector.
In line with this, we request your kind assistance in communicating this information to the public. We have prepared information, communication, and educational materials that you may disseminate to your stakeholders. ### (PR)
