Over P260M Worth of Illegal Drugs Seized; 33 Drug Personalities Arrested in PRO CAR’s Monthlong Drug Ops

The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) successfully seized a total of PhP260,203,932.32 worth of illegal drugs and arrested 33 drug personalities during intensified monthlong anti-illegal drug operations conducted from February 1 to 28, 2026, across the region.

According to reports from the Regional Operations Division, these operations consisted of major marijuana eradication efforts, buy-bust operations, search warrant implementations, and police response operations. These efforts led to the confiscation of 776,820 fully grown marijuana plants; 2,150 marijuana seedlings; 867,474.10 grams of marijuana leaves and fruiting tops; 3,000 marijuana stalks; and 43.68 grams of shabu, with a total Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PhP260,203,932.32.

Additionally, during the said operations, 33 drug personalities were arrested, of whom three were identified as High Value Individuals (HVIs), and 30 were identified as Street Level Individuals (SLIs).

The most significant operations were conducted by the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO), which confiscated illegal drugs worth PhP223,143,840.00 and arrested one HVI and eight SLIs. This was followed by the Kalinga PPO, which seized illegal drugs valued at PhP19,688,680.00 and apprehended nine SLIs. Meanwhile, the Mountain Province PPO confiscated illegal drugs with an SDP of PhP17,200,000.00 and arrested one HVI.

Furthermore, the Baguio City Police Office confiscated illegal drugs valued at PhP136,172.00 and arrested one HVI and eight SLIs. The Ifugao PPO seized illegal drugs worth PhP5,848.00 and arrested one SLI. The Abra PPO confiscated illegal drugs with an SDP of PhP27,676.00 and arrested two SLIs, while the Apayao PPO seized illegal drugs with an SDP of PhP1,716.32 and apprehended two SLIs.

These accomplishments underscore PRO CAR’s unwavering commitment to combating illegal drugs and protecting the community. Beyond enforcement, PRO CAR personnel continue to engage in community education initiatives and strengthen partnerships with local organizations to provide preventive and rehabilitative support.
