Nourishing Hope: PWD Initiative Promotes Nutrition and Joy in Sto. Rosario Valley

On September 13, 2025, the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Organization of Barangay Sto. Rosario Valley successfully conducted a Feeding Program for children aged 5 to 14 years old. The activity aimed to promote proper nutrition and provide support to the young residents of the barangay.

The funds used in the activity were obtained from the incentive won by the organization under the “Nutrition Mo, Low-Cost Viand at Paluwagan” program, which they utilized to benefit the children and community.

The event was further highlighted with a raffle draw, which brought excitement and joy to the children. Several lucky participants won simple prizes, adding to the fun and engagement of the activity.
The feeding program was successfully implemented under the leadership of Punong Barangay Edwin M. Tablada, with the active participation and support of the Barangay Council. Their cooperation and presence contributed greatly to the smooth facilitation and success of the activity.
The initiative not only provided meals but also served as an avenue to strengthen community involvement, highlight the role of PWDs in nation-building, and promote collective action for children’s welfare.
Overall, the activity was well received and achieved its objectives, leaving a positive impact on both the children’s beneficiaries and the community at large. Photo by Kagawad Ross Calimlim
