MARIJUANA COURIER NABBED IN A CHECKPOINT IN MOUNTAIN PROVINCE

CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, LA TRINIDAD, BENGUET- (June 4, 2021) – A bus passenger transporting 15 Marijuana bricks worth over 1.5 million pesos was intercepted by operatives during a checkpoint operation in Sitio Ampawilen, Poblacion, Sadanga, Mountain Province on June 3, 2021.

According to PLT BONIFACIO P FANGED, OIC of Sadanga MPS, the suspect identified as Rodler Jimenez Cacapit, 21 years old of Tondo, Manila was arrested thru an Intelligence-Driven Checkpoint by joint operatives of Sadanga MPS, Mountain Province Provincial Police Office, and PDEA-Mountain Province.

Suspect was on board a PUV bus coming from Kalinga, and after his arrest, he revealed that he is part of a Manila-based drug sellers.

Confiscated during the arrest were a backpack containing 12 bricks of marijuana weighing 9.3 kilos with Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 1,116,000.00; a traveling bag containing three marijuana bricks weighing 3.5 kilos with SDP of Php 420,000.00; a cellular Phone; and the suspect’s Professional Driver’s License. These were inventoried on-site witnessed by Pros. Joaquin N. Bullong Jr. and Punong Barangay Elliang Anongos.

Suspect Cacapit was brought to the Mt Province Provincial Crime Laboratory for medico-legal and drug test, then turned over to the custody of Sadanga MPS. A case for Violation of RA 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (Transport of an illegal drug) is being prepared for filing against him. (PROCOR-PIO)
