Informatics Olympiad competitor commended

City officials recently congratulated and commended Tristan Gabriel C. Cabinta of the Philippine Science High School–Cordillera campus for being one of the honorable mentions during the National Olympiad in Informatics (NOI) Philippines 2023.

In a resolution, local legislators stated that Cabinta’s achievement serves as an encouragement, motivation and inspiration to other students in the city and in the region to excel in their own fields of expertise for them to sustain bringing pride and honor not only to the city but also to the whole region.

Earlier, the NOI-Philippines, the premier programming Olympiad of the country for high school students, held the final competition last April 15-16, 2023 at Ateneo de manila.

Among the 30 finalists, Cabinta, a Grade 9 student of the Philippine Science High School–Cordillera campus based in the city, was among the honorable mentions during the final round of the said competition.

The council stipulated that the city government recognizes Cabinta’s valuable effort and for showing excellence in his field which has brought tremendous pride and honor to the city.

Copies of the approved resolution will be provided to Cabinta and the administration of the Philippine Science High School–Cordillera campus for their information, ready reference and guidance. – Dexter A. See
