BAGUIO CITY – May 26, 2026. The Guardians Reform Advocacy for Cooperation towards Economic Prosperity, Inc. (GRACE) Baguio City Chapter, a newly accredited Civil Society Organization (CSO) of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Cordillera Administrative Region (PDEA – CAR), successfully conducted its first Drug Preventive Awareness Seminar on May 26, 2026, at the Slaughter Compound in Barangay Sto. Niño, Baguio City.
The seminar marked the official launch of the organization’s anti-drug advocacy campaign aimed at strengthening community awareness and promoting collective action against the dangers of illegal drugs. The activity was conducted under the supervision of the Preventive Education and Community Involvement Section of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Cordillera Administrative Region Regional Office.

Participants included barangay officials, members of the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC), representatives from local women’s organizations, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials, and senior citizens’ groups. The lectures focused on drug prevention awareness, community involvement, and the importance of sustaining a drug-free environment through education and cooperation.

Recently accredited by PDEA as a recognized force multiplier in the government’s anti-illegal drug campaign, GRACE Guardians Inc. continues to strengthen its commitment to public service and community empowerment. Following the accreditation, members of the organization completed a comprehensive Training of Trainers program, enabling them to independently conduct drug-awareness seminars and educational initiatives in various communities.

The successful conduct of the seminar reflects the organization’s dedication to supporting national and local efforts in combating illegal drugs through preventive education, civic engagement, and grassroots collaboration. # Mario Oclaman // FNS
