QUEZON CITY (PIA) — The government will hold a National Vaccination Day from November 29 to December 1, 2021, to target at least 15 million individuals, said Dr. Kezia Rosario of the Department of Health’s National Vaccination Operations Center (DOH-NVOC).
During a press briefing on Thursday, November 11, Dr. Rosario said the three-day event aims to mobilize all stakeholders, people, and logistics to coincide with Bonifacio Day’s commemoration on November 30.
The activities will utilize the Bayanihan concept in which the community in unity work and cooperate to achieve a particular goal.
The government was still waiting for the release of the Executive Order to declare the three consecutive days as a National Holiday or National COVID-19 Vaccination Days.
Dr. Rosario also shared that the event would expand and activate all registered vaccination sites nationwide.
The government will also use schools, arenas, gymnasiums, and facilities of private sectors such as fast-food chains and malls as vaccination sites.
The requirements will also be limted; a valid ID will do.
Interested individuals may register through their respective local government units (LGU).(MCDS/PIA-IDPD)
