FEMALE DRUG USER AND PEDDLER BUSTED IN BAGUIO CITY

Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet- (July 12, 2021) –  In the continuing anti-illegal drugs campaign of the Philippine National Police, a female drug peddler and the user was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Outlook Drive, Baguio City on July 9, 2021.

Citing reports submitted to PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, identified the suspect as Cristel Joyce Rivera, 25, jobless and a resident of Outlook Drive, Baguio City.

Joint operatives of PS 4, CIU-DEU, PS 3, Baguio CPO, RACU-COR, RIU-14 CIT BAGUIO, and EODK9-COR conducted a buy-bust operation against Rivera resulted in her arrest after selling a sachet of suspected shabu weighing more or less .8 gram w/ a Standard Drug Price of Php 5,440.00 to a cop acting as poseur buyer.

Another three sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less .8 gram with a Standard Drug Price of Php 5,440.00, buy-bust money, and a touchscreen cellphone were confiscated from his possession.

The markings and inventory of pieces of evidence were conducted onsite in the presence of the suspect duly witnessed by DOJ Rep. Prosecutor Oliver Isabelo D. Prodencio; Barangay Kagawad Onn M Aquino of Outlook Drive, Baguio City; Mr. Charles Nikko Limon of RNG Luzon, media representative.

The drug evidence was turned over to the Baguio City Scene of the Crime Operation wherein the Qualitative Examination conducted yielded positive while the suspect’s drug test turned out positive in meth.

Rivera was brought to BCPO Loakan Station 4 for proper documentation, booking, and disposition while a case for Violation of R.A. 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Acts of 2002 is being prepared for filing against her in court. (PROCOR-PIO)
