Drive-through vaccination goes on

The transport sector; public utility vehicle drivers and private vehicle owners, together with family and friends could get vaccinated within the comforts of their vehicle once the drive-through vaccination opens at the Athletic Bowl, Burnham Park.

This was announced by Assistant City Health Services Officer Dr. Celia Flor Brillantes during the regular Ugnayan media forum last Wednesday.

Vaccinees may belong to the A1 to A5 priority groups (health workers, senior citizens, those with comorbidities, workers, indigent population); or are part of the rest of the population (ROP) if they are above 18 years of age (students, housewives or homebound husbands). They need to register with bakuna.baguio.gov.ph for a QR code to be presented upon vaccination, with valid identification documents, a medical clearance for those with comorbidities. No barangay-issued stubs are required, it was known.

A standard 15-minute observation follows the vaccination, as supervised by Health Services Office personnel.

The strategy was conceptualized to have everyone vaccinated, through the efforts of the Baguio City Vaccination Action Team with Engr. Philip Puzon, Executive Assistant Benjie Macadangdang, Marvin Herrera, the Management Information Technology Division (MITD), the Health Services Office and other partners, Dr. Brillantes said.

Information on drive-through vaccination schedules will be cascaded through the Baguio City Health Services Office Facebook Page or at the Public Information Office Facebook page. Julie G. Fianza
