CTG encampment, firearm, and explosives recovered in Mt. Province

Acting on the information provided by a concerned citizen, the operatives of Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) discovered an abandoned Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) Encampment in Brgy. Bagnen Proper, Bauko, Mountain Province on August 31, 2022

Based on the report submitted to PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN MAFELINO ASPERO BAZAR, the joint operatives of Mountain Province PPO and Regional Intelligence Division (RID) implemented OPLAN 25/22 “Radiance” that resulted in the discovery of the said encampment and recovery of one (1) Homemade Shotgun; 18 pieces of dynamite sticks; and a 20.5 Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) pipe.

Likewise, subversive documents and materials, medical equipment, food supplies, and personal belongings, were recovered from the encampment.

Further, the operatives were assisted by the Provincial EOD and Canine Unit (PECU) to search the immediate surrounding of the encampment for the possible recovery of other explosive devices.

Meanwhile, the seized firearm was brought to Bauko MPS, the explosives were brought to PECU while the subversive documents and materials, medical equipment, food supplies, and personal belongings were brought to 1st Mountain Province Provincial Mobile Force company for proper documentation and disposition.
