City mourns barangay official’s passing

Mayor Benjamin Magalong ratified city council resolution no. 141, series of 2023, expressing deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences of the officialdom and constituency of the City of Baguio to the bereaved family of the late Engr. Benito F. Ibanez, barangay kagawad of Session-Gov. Pack Road barangay.

The approved measure disclosed that Ibanez died on February 22, this year, at the age of 73, “leaving behind his family and friends in deep sorrow.”

It stated that Ibanez was known for his selfless dedication to public service having served Session-Gov. Pack Road barangay from 2018 up to the time of his demise.

“Ibanez’s active participation in various civic activities that contributed great improvement and benefits to his constituency are worthy of appreciation and emulation that will forever remain not only in the hearts and minds of every constituent of the barangay he served but of the City of Baguio as well,” the resolution stressed. – Gaby B.
