Baguio High Value Drug Personality, partner nabbed after chase down
Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet – Baguio cops and PDEA operatives chased down a High Value Individual (HVI) along with his companion who tried to evade arrest after selling shabu to an operative on Sunday night, January 24, 2021.
In a report from Marcos Highway Police Station (PS10), the HVI identified as Rogelio G. Buccat, Jr., 27 years old, and his companion, Maria N. Damalerio, 24 years old, agreed to sell a sachet of shabu to the agent who acted as poseur-buyer. After their transaction, the duo sensed that they transacted to an anti-illegal drug operative, mmediately, the suspects tried to escape on board a black Honda Civic bearing plate number UHH 876, dragging the poseur- buyer and hitting several vehicles on the process. The operatives tried to subdue the vehicle but the same continued to escape.
A hot pursuit ensued which led to the eventual arrest of the suspects along Suello Village, Baguio City. Seized from them were four sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 4 grams valued at Php 27,200.00; boodle money; one black pouch and the getaway vehicle. The seized items were inventoried on-site in the presence of Prosecutor Oliver Prudencio and Kagawad Ryan Baucas of Santo Tomas Proper.
Meanwhile, in a separate operation on Monday night, Jerry A. Rivera, 23 years old, and a newly identified drug personality, was arrested in Cresencia Village, Baguio City after selling two sachets of suspected shabu worth Php 3,500.00.
Upon his arrest, the buy bust money and one Oppo Cellphone model R15 were recovered from his possession. Inventory was conducted onsite, witnessed by Prosecutor Oliver Prudencio and PB George Fangroy.
Arrested suspects are now facing appropriate charges while the recovered drug evidence were turned over to the crime laboratory for proper disposition. (PROCOR RPIO)
