Baguio girl recognized for winning Miss Charm 2024

City officials commended and recognized Miss Krishna Marie E. Gravidez of Barangay Irisan for her victorious representation of the city in the Miss Universe–Philippines 2023, winning the title Miss Charm Philippines 2024.

In a resolution, local legislators stated that Gravidez, with such a rare achievement of winning a national title and the privilege to represent the country for the chance to win an international title, has embodied youthful tenacity and aspiration with steadfast discipline and dedication, a true beauty and grace amidst pressure and challenges, a model for the youth of today.

The Search for Miss Baguio is one of the activities being lined up by the local government in the celebration of its annual Charter Day every September.

The said search is institutionalized by Ordinance No. 30, series of 1998 with the aim of espousing the ideals of civic consciousness, environmental awareness, community spirit and pride of place among the youth of the city where ideals clearly seen in Gravidez as she was crowned Miss Baguio 2022 on August 27, 2022.

Gravidez, as part of her privilege with the title of Miss Baguio, joined the prestigious national pageant, Miss Universe–Philippines on May 13, 2023 representing the city, bringing with her the advocacy on spreading simple kindness among the young as a foundation for a better humanity, creating a ripple effect as all can spread kindness forward to others, to the community and eventually to the world.

During this national search, she was awarded Best in Swimsuit and was crowned the national title Miss Charm Philippines and will represent the country in Vietnam in the Search for Miss Charm 2024, an international pageant that promotes culture, tourism and educational activities.
