Mayor Magalong is reappointed CRPOC head for 2025-2028
The Department of the Interior and Local Government-Cordillera (DILG-CAR) has extended its full support to Mayor Benjamin Magalong as he continues to lead the Cordillera Regional Peace and Order Council (CRPOC) in strengthening safety and stability in the region.
DILG-CAR Regional Director Anthony C. Nuyda and DILG-Baguio City Director Millicent B. Cariño recently visited Baguio City Hall to present the renewed appointment of the Mayor as CRPOC Chairperson for the 2025–2028 term.
Signed by DILG Secretary and NPOC Chairperson Juanito Victor C. Remulla and approved by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., the reappointment underscores Mayor Magalong’s longstanding role in shaping the region’s peace and order strategies.
Carino said his previous terms as CRPOC Chair have been marked by data-driven governance, strong interagency coordination, and decisive action on security concerns across the Cordilleras.
The newly-appointed CRPOC Officers for 2025-2028 included PBGEN Ericson D Dilag, Police Regional Office (PRO)-CAR Regional Director as Vice Chairperson and MGEN Gulliver L Señires, Commander of the 5th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army, as Co-Vice Chairperson. – Gaby B. Keith
