Mayor tells government workers to “keep choosing what is good for the people”
“As long as we stand on what is right and remain anchored in the truth, no amount of noise can bring us down.”
Mayor Benjamin Magalong, in a social media post, said that leadership is not measured by praise, but by “integrity, consistency, and the courage to do what is right, even when it is difficult and even when others choose the easier path.”
He is urging those in government to stay focused on the work; stand firm in truth; and keep choosing what is good for the people because genuine service grounded in values will always rise above the noise.
“As stewards of public trust, we are called to act with integrity even when no one is watching, to uphold accountability in all circumstances, and to ensure that honesty guides every step,” the Mayor stressed.
He said that genuine leadership stands firm on truth and that the light of accountability will always prevail over secrecy.
“Let us continue to strive for governance that is open, ethical and rooted in service to the public good,” the Mayor added. – Gaby B. Keith
