Three dead in Bokawkan Road mishap

Three persons died when a wayward delivery van smashed into three vehicles along Bokawkan Road, 3:30 a.m. on May 29, 2025.
In a report to Mayor Benjamin Magalong, the Baguio City Police Office under PCol Ruel Tagel said four vehicles — a Toyota Tamaraw FX, a Forward closed van, a Hyundai Tucson and a Mitsubishi L300 — figured in the deadly crash that killed the driver and two passengers of the van and injured the driver of the FX.
The police chief said they are looking at human error as possible cause of the accident even as continuing investigation is being conducted led by the Traffic Enforcement Unit.
Initial investigation said the closed van was seen swerving and speeding down Bokawkan Road towards Agrix and rammed into the Tamaraw FX pushing the same to hit the front glass door of a grocery store.
The van continued to speed down hitting traffic signs and the parked Hyundai Tucson and the Mitsubishi L300.Personnel of the BCPO PS2, 911 on call, Baguio City Fire Station, Emergency Medical Service and City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office handled the response. – Aileen P. Refuerzo
