DSWD – CAR  PAYOUT ACTIVITY

The Department of Social Welfare and Development Office Cordillera (DSWD-CAR) held its Financial Assistance payout for the second batch of beneficiaries on May 4, 2023. A total of 469 beneficiaries who were victims of the Baguio City Public Market Fire were identified by the City Social Welfare and Development Office led by Ms. Liza Bulayungan. Each beneficiary received an amount of Php 10,000 to support the rehabilitation of their livelihood.

A short program was held and graced by the presence of DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian. He was accompanied by Amelyn Cabrera (OIC ARD for Operations), Enrique Gascon, Jr. (ARD for Administration), and Usec. Eduardo Punay (Office of the Undersecretary for Special Projects), Dir. Leo Quintilla (Regional Director). The city government was represented by Vice Mayor Faustino Olowan, with Mrs. Soleded Go representing Congressman Marquez Go, Executive Assistant Leandro Tabilog, and City Social Welfare and Development Officer Liza Bulayungan.
