7th placer in CPA licensure examination recognized

City officials recently congratulated and commended Neftali Blasé Guevarra Suarez of St. Louis University (SLU) for placing seventh with an average of 88.17 percent during the May 2023 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure examination.

In a resolution, local legislators stated that the feat of Suarez shows and continues to uphold the city’s title as the education center of the north where it models students into licensed professionals with flying colors.

Earlier, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 2,239 out of 7,376 examinees passed the CPA licensure examination given by the Board of Accountancy in the National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

The CPA examination was conducted last May 21-23, 2023 and was administered by the PRC and the Board of Accountancy.

Suarez, who graduated from the Catholic-run St. Louis University (SLU), one of the examinees, was able to land in 7th place with an average of 88.17 percent in the aforesaid CPA licensure examination. – Dexter A. See
