4 Drug surrenderees completed their recovery program in Kalinga

Forty-four (44) drug surrenderees from the four (4) barangays of Pinukpok have completed their community-based rehabilitation and treatment program that started in November 2020 through RAPHA Recovery and Wellness Program held in Barangay Hall, Ammacian, Pinukpok, Kalinga on October 8, 2021.

According to Pinukpok MPS, the forty-four (44) drug surrenderees are from barangays Aciga, Ammacian, Taggay and Wagod were the results of the PNP’s “Tokhang” operations.

During their rehabilitation period, they were able to finish twenty-four (24) sessions with 2-3 hours per activity while relapse prevention is (2) days with individual workshops. Also, activities included are lectures and orientations on Republic Act (R.A) 9165, Effects of Illegal Drugs, Prohibited Acts and Penalties, Effects of Gateway Drugs, Stress Management Relapse Prevention/ Moral Recovery Program/ Bible Study, Community Service, Sports like Fun Run and Ball Games.

RAPHA which means “God is the Healer” Recovery and Wellness Program is an intervention initiated by Pinukpok MPS in collaboration with the stakeholders of the Local Government Unit (LGU) Pinukpok, Department of Health (DOH)/Rural Health Unit (RHU) other local and national agencies and religious sectors.
